Beliefs

Quakers believe:

• In God (Some Quakers refer to God as 'the spirit', 'the divine' or 'the light')
• That there is that of God in everyone
• Everyone is equal
• We can all have a direct experience of God (we don't need a minister or other person to act as a go-between)
• Our lives should be guided by God and that this should show in our daily life and work

Most Quakers read the Bible and believe in the teachings of Jesus, but we differ in our approaches to these words.
