Quakers try to live according to 4 testimonies. These are not words (although we've tried to explain them below) but an expression of our spirituality.
Our 4 testimonies are:
Truth and integrity means trying to live according to the deepest truth we know, which we believe comes from God.
Equality also includes justice and community. We recognise that everyone is equal before God. Some of our work aims to change systems that promote injustice, and some supports those suffering from injustice.
We try to live simply to give space to the things that matter - the people we love, our natural world, and God. We try not to get drawn into the excesses of consumerism.
Possibly the best known of our testimonies, peace comes from believing that we must live in a way that reflects our love for each other, and for God.
