Freedom from Torture – Monday 15 July, 7:30pm, Central Manchester Meeting House

Freedom from Torture is the leading human rights charity dedicated to supporting and protecting torture survivors.  It offers one-to-one and group therapy; legal help with asylum applications; and creative and social activities to help make friends and rebuild lives.  Freedom from Torture also advocates for the rights of torture survivors, within the UK and internationally.   One of Freedom from Torture’s four regional centres is located here in Manchester.

During July 2019, a team of Freedom from Torture supporters will be making the epic bike ride from Hastings to Edinburgh, to raise funds and awareness of the charity and its work.  They will be having a well-earned weekend’s rest in Manchester.

Come and hear about the work of Freedom from Torture, including the experiences of former clients (and the adventures of the cycling team!) on:

Monday 15th July 2019 7.30pm, at Friends Meeting House, Mount Street Manchester M2 5NS.
